Resources Department
The Human Resources Department is responsible for the
City's recruitment and selection process, labor
relations, affirmative action, health plan
administration, maintenance of employee records, risk
management efforts, and employee training and
development.
- The Risk Management section within the HR
department is responsible for creating a safe work
environment for employees and a safe City for its
citizens by administering safety training and OSHA
mandated programs, assuring safe and healthy work
environments, administering liability insurance
programs, and responding to citizen and employee
safety concerns.
- The Recruitment staff works closely with
departments to assess departmental staffing needs
and coordinates the applications, testing and
selection process to recruit the most qualified
candidate. Recruitment also serves as a liaison
between candidates and departments.
- The Benefits staff acts as a resource for
a wide variety of services including traditional
health and welfare benefits, deferred compensation
and COBRA administration. Benefits also oversees
leaves of absences including FMLA and military
leave, health enrollment and changes, and process
all payroll transactions including, W-4 changes and
promotions.

Maintenance Worker
(Annual FTE Salary Range: $28,657 - $34,831)
Perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled
work in the maintenance of parks, streets, lights,
water, wastewater collections, landscaped medians,
buildings and grounds, flood control and storm
drains, special events, traffic control and general
janitorial functions. Must have a good working
knowledge of basic tools. Two years of responsible
construction or maintenance experience and a high
school degree preferred.
Revenue Clerk / Accounts Receivable
(Annual FTE Salary Range $ 28,760 to $35,133)
Full time position under supervision that
performs with a high degree of independence in a
variety of financial and/or statistical clerical
work necessary to maintain all records relevant to
City revenues; utility billings; accounts
receivable; and, other duties as assigned. Minimum
of Associate Degree in Accounting or three years
cash register and cash balancing experience
preferred. Computer proficient, skilled in the use
of a 10-key calculator, fax machine, and basic
office filing standards.
Disbursement Clerk
(Annual FTE Salary Range $ 39,281 to $47,747)
Full time position under supervision that
performs with a high degree of independence in a
variety of financial and/or statistical clerical
work necessary to maintain all records relevant to
City disbursement; timekeeping of payroll; petty
cash; accounts payable; Community Development Block
Grant Program (CDBG); and, other duties as assigned.
Minimum of Associate Degree in Accounting and five
years of bookkeeping or comparable recordkeeping
experience preferred. Computer proficient, skilled
in the use of a 10-key calculator, fax machine, and
basic office filing standards.
