Sacramento Valley Museum

Built in 1911 as Williams High School, the school was open to graduating classes from 1912 to 1956. Some alumni include jazz musician Turk Murphy, of San Francisco’s Earthquake McGoon’s fame, Kenneth Zumwalt, Editor of Stars and Stripes military publication during WWII and the Fouch Family of pharmacists, who served the Williams community for over a century. In 1963 the building transitioned into an impressive regional museum full of special exhibits in a most unique setting, a true step back into time, featuring late 19th and early 20th century local memorabilia.

The Museum is open March through mid November, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10am to 4pm and by Appointment. The Museum is closed for the winter. In addition to normal operation hours, the museum is available for rent. Host your meetings, Plays, Parties and more for $125 for Non Members and $100 for Members. Please call for details.
